Join up at the Port of Entry (Weigh Station) south of Pocatello just before Inkom, Id. on interstate 15 and proceed south to McCammon to Soda Springs to Montpelier along Bear Lake to Logan, Utah then a hop over the Wasatch Mountains to Perry, Utah for lunch at Maddox Ranch House. Great food and great service. May want to get a to go box of their famous chicken for supper later. There is a large fresh fruit and vegetable road side stand across the road from Maddox. Meet at Snake River Convenience Store, Sinclair, A&W in Blackfoot. Exit 93 at Blackfoot turn toward Arco on right at first stop light. This will get us around some major road construction on Hwy 20. Depart there at 8:00AM drive to Arco, McKay, Challis, Sunbeam Dam, Stanley, to beautiful Redfish Lake. (Photo Op) on to Sawthooth Hatchery (Point of Interest) A stop at the scenic out look at the top of Galena Summit (Photo Op), down deception hill passing by where the Clint Eastwood movie Pale Rider set was built. A stop at Wood River Visitor Center then on to Twin Falls. Once in Twin Falls there are several options. One, drive back home. Two, spend the night in Twin Falls. Three, continue on to Jackpot for seafood, prime rib buffet. So far all but one of the eight has indicated they want to go to Jackpot. Rooms at Barton’s Club 93 Sandstone Hotel are $85.35 nonsmoking. Cactus Pete’s has only tower rooms left at $129. nonsmoking. Book early both places expect to sellout.
