On August 22, 2014 Corvettes of South East Idaho hosted the Oregon Washington Group of the National Corvette Caravan to the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green Kentucky. The Group traveled from Boise Idaho to Idaho Falls on the Friday the 22. Our club had made arrangements to host a dinner for the Caravan Group at Freeman Park in Idaho Falls. Clubs members began arriving at about 2:00 PM. Our members cleaned the location, and began setting up, covering tables, cooling soda pop, and decorating the location. The Caravan was met at the Hotel Ritz by our members and escorted to Freeman Park. The caravan arrived at about 5:00 PM. In all there were about 15 cars. The caravan was welcomed and greeted by CSEI members. At about 5:30 Famous Dave's BBQ arrived and delivered the food for the picnic. The food was well prepared and served by Dave's Staff. Desert was served. Our President Tommy Taylor distributed welcome packets to the members of the caravan. The really good news was that the rain held off from 2:00 till about 6:30. The clean up was done and all who attended enjoyed the efforts of our club. It was very successful event organized by our President Tommy Taylor and other members of our club.
